Here is an example of the weather we encountered, as seen from my parents verandah. Mum's ashes were scattered in the rose garden seen to the left. Sorry if that is more information than you would like.
With all the rain I thought this might be my one chance at actually seeing water in Lake George...unfortunately not!
Some water I did get to see was the great Murray river when we stopped for a night in Euchuca while driving from Sydney to Melbourne. I just love the bird life that swarks and caws in the skies over that river, it really made me feel like I was home.
Hanging with friends, whether in the bush near Melbourne, on the coast around Coalcliff or at the Gong campus, also made me feel like I was home. Miss all you guys a lot!!
One of the best things about being back though was hearing Kevin Rudd say Sorry. What a momentous occasion! It feels strange to actually be excited about the leadership of my country for once, I am not used to that at all! While I do not have a photo of the Sorry event, this is a relevant one I took while attending the Sydney Road festival in Melbourne. I really hope that one day our flag is just the stars without the stripes...
The absolute best thing about being back though was being with my family - even when it was on the ultra competitive field of the bowling green at my grandparents place!
Love you all so very much and miss you the mostest! xxx
